Nagoya University Dormitories for international students
Nagoya University has several dormitories for international students as below. However due to their limited capacity, many students are renting their own apartments around the campus.
The application requirement and the period of residence varies according to programs. In the case that your pogram is available to apply, the application instructions will be given from the Student Affairs Division of your school.

Nagoya University Dormitories
(1) International Ohmeikan (10 minutes' walk from Higashiyama Campus)

Facilities：291 single rooms (13m2); A Block: 9-story building with 239 single rooms (floors 2-5 for male students, 6-9 for female students), B Block: 3-story building with 25 single rooms for male students, C Block: 3-story building with 27 single rooms for male students. Each floor has a coin-op laundry (chargeable), kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, etc.), and living room (refrigerator, TV) for common use. Each room is furnished with a bathroom and toilet, bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, closet, shoebox, air conditioner, etc.
This dormitory accommodates 231 Japanese students and 60 international students.
(2) International Residence Yamate North (10 minutes' walk from Higashiyama Campus)

Facilities：This is a three-story building with 104 single rooms (approximately 15m2).
It houses a lounge, a coin-op laundry (chargeable), mail boxes, and an administrative office.
Each room is furnished with a bed with bedding(*), desk, chair, desk lamp, open closet, storage shelf, air conditioner, a kitchen (IH stove), microwave oven, refrigerator-freezer, unit bathroom/toilet, etc.
(3) International Residence Yamate South (10 minutes' walk from Higashiyama Campus)

Facilities：This is a seven-story building.
It has 14 units available for 112 international students.
Each unit comes with a communal area and 8 single rooms.
Each single room (7 m2) is furnished with an air conditioner, bed with bedding(*), open closet, bookshelf, desk, chair, and desk lamp.
The kitchen, refrigerator-freezer, microwave oven, dining table, 2 shower booths, 3 vanity sinks, washers (chargeable) and dryers (free of charge) are all communal.
There are 6 students assigned to International Residence Yamate North & South as RA.
(4) Ishida Memorial International Residence Myoken (13 minutes’ walk from Higashiyama Campus)

Facilities：This is a five-story building with 93 single rooms (approximately 15m2).
Communal space includes a study room, a TV room and a coin-op laundry (chargeable). Each room is furnished with kitchen (IH stove), refrigerator-freezer, microwave oven, bathroom with toilet, bed with bedding(*), open closet, storage spaces, desk, chair, desk lamp, air conditioner.
4 students live in as RA.
(5) International Residence Daiko (Daiko Campus)

Facilities：This is an eight-story building with 224 single rooms (13m2), 4 couple rooms (31m2), cross-cultural rooms, spaces for cultural exchange (kitchen-diners), a coin-op laundry, warehouse, mail/ home delivery corner and an administrative office.
Each room is furnished with a bathroom with toilet, desk, chair, desk lamp, mattress, bed (with storage), clothes rack, refrigerator, air conditioner, combo washer dryer (couple room only), etc.
It takes about 30 minutes by subway/bicycle to get to the Higashiyama campus. There is a large-scale shopping center in the vicinity. 7 students are arranged to live in the Residence as RA.
(*) Bedding: Set for each room comprises quilt (1), blanket (1), bed pad (1), pillow (1), quilt cover (2), bedsheet (2), pillow slip (2).
