Nagoya University Festival “MEIDAI-SAI” is held at the beginning of June every year. There are many events organized primarily by students, such as a costume parades, academic lectures, open laboratory events, live music, movies, and sport events. International student groups always participate in the Festival.
MEIDAI-SAI Website
This is a comprehensive athletics competition held between the former Seven Imperial Universities (Hokkaido University, Tohoku University, Tokyo University, Nagoya University, Kyoto University, Osaka University, and Kyushu University). The seven member universities will compete in over 30 sporting events in the area around a host university from early July to mid September every year.
In FY2024, Nagoya University will be the host university, and hold the competitions mainly in Nagoya city.
